5th April: SBH Day

 5th April: SBH BIRTHDAY 

I was remembering till yesterday and was reminded by a pleasant message from Shri Yadagiri today. (Shri Yadagiri is one of our esteemed staff members, assigned the duty of driving the bank's car for me, in my of stay of three years with the bank).

Happy Birthday SBH💐


I felt thrilled and thought Shri Yadagiri represents the 'invisible but ever present spirit' or  the 'Atma' of SBHians. Six years passed by, since 31st March 2017, the date of its merger with parent SBI. (Incidentally I also retired on 31st March 2017). Though I had my innings as a “deputationist” from SBT, I never felt I was ever treated as an outsider. Accepting me as one among the thousands of SBHians by all the staff was a rare privilege. The love and affection continues to pour from the likes of ‘Yadagiri’ at all levels. People from head offices to zones/ branches/unions/associations right across the length and breadth of the country do send me greetings/wishes on festival occasions, my birthday/marriage days. If I inadvertently forget to respond in a few hours, I get affectionate calls enquiring my health and wellbeing. 

Last year, when I wrote in my blog an article “Satabhishekam to SBH”, it attracted more than 1300 viewers. And many got in touch and circulated the blog to their SBH friends circle also. I end here saying 

"Friends - Long Live memories of SBH" 

After all, SBH and the other associate banks gave their breath and body to parent SBI, to make the bigger soul to grow and shine as never before. And in that sense, our SBH is not part of history alone but part of future as well.

    Sir really we are missing the touch of SBH may be we are habituated to such belongingness & relation. Great organization which we will not forget even after we retire after 11/12 years

    SBH really was a great organisation which was responsible for building the lives of not only its Employees but also the people living in Telangana, Andhraa Pradesh, Marathwada in Maharashtra and Bidar, Bhalki and Gulbarga district in Karnataka. We are extremely grateful to this Institution and will remember till we are alive. SBH ZINDABAD

  An open letter to DFS or RBI or to whom? Perceived, yet undefined, "conduct and behaviour" determine or detrimental to selection?:   It has been reported in the newspapers that Financial Services Institution Bureau (FSIB) is conducting interviews for the positions of MD & CEO in four public sector banks (PSBs), including that of Indian Bank (IB), where the present MD & CEO is retiring on 31st December 2024. Conduct of interviews for the position of MD & CEO of IB raised a few eyebrows in the banking circle, as the name of the ED of Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) was shortlisted by the FSIB for the said position in April 2024.
